Over the years of E Squadron’s establishment since 2002, we endeavour to nurture

the next generation leaders in Hong Kong. Until this day, we have provided trainings

for over 800 cadets coming from open recruitment, Ng Wah Catholic Secondary

School and STFA Seaward Woo College. We have instructors who are members of

The Royal Hong Kong Regiment (The Volunteers) and the Hong Kong Military

Service Corps, former cadets of the Corps, and even parents of our cadets. We

encourage active participation of young instructors, hoping that they will pass on the

flame.

Apart from regular weekend trainings, we provide certificate programmes such as

”Basic Drill Course”, “Air Rifle Shooting Course”, "Level 1/2 Mountain Craft

Certificate Course” presented by China Hong Kong Mountaineering and Climbing

Union and “Abseiling Technical Certificate Course” presented by Challenge Course

Association of Hong Kong. These are opportunities that can improve their skills and

qualifications to meet the demands of modern society. "Joint Cadets Mess Dinner” is

also held annually so that cadets can learn proper table etiquette in formal

occasions, as well as experiencing the history and culture of the Royal Hong Kong

Regiment (The Volunteers). In order to train up cadets’ soft skills like teamwork and

interpersonal abilities, we highly support engagement in various competitions for

example “Chairman Shield Drill Competition”, “Inter-UGs Dragon Boat Tournaments”

and foreign exchange programmes to mainland China, Singapore, Australia and the

United Kingdom.

E Squadron is committed to serving the community in different ways and our past

contribution include at the "Dragon and Lion Festival", "Community Chest Charity

Walk", "U-Hearts Charity Walkathon", "Doctor Pet Charity Walk" and "Stargaze for

All”.

All aspect and disciplined trainings can achieve the aims of whole-person

development of cadets, including academic success. We are proud to have nurtured

4 HKAC Scholarship-awardees and recipients of Grantham Scholarships Fund as

well as Youth Ambassador Against Internet Privacy Commendation.

In future, E Squadron pledges to continue our contribution towards the Corps and

strives to foster the leaders of tomorrow in Hong Kong.
